WONDER FITBA FANS ARE AYE SKINT
September 22nd 2004 Celtic announce a new kit deal with Nike a couple of weeks after the new Umbro strips go on sale, jeez they might have told us that before we bought the new strip I hear you say. I remember reading an article on the comeonthehoops.com site two or three weeks back saying that it was likely that the Umbro deal would not be renewed and that is now the case. Celtic could have waited until the new deal had been done before launching the final Umbro strip but hey, maybe they didn't know about the Nike deal at that time!! One thing is for sure, the fitba fan always gets the shitey end of the deal no matter whether it's strips, tickets, pies or bovril. At Easter Road on Sunday I bought a packet of crisps and a small cup of coke for £2.40. Maybe the £1.60 warm and flat coke was imported direct from the USA and I was charged for delivery and maybe the gold on the 80p packet of crisps was real gold. I was looking at the £2 pasties (only 60p in Greggs) and thinking about contacting Ocean Finance for a loan. Celtic FC want us to buy from the feeshel Cellic shop yet they charge £35 for the new top and you can buy it from sports shops up and down the country for £30 so here's what to do - buy your Celtic tap for £30 in a sports shop if you like then next time you're in the feeshel Cellic shop just go to the tills and hand over a fiver.
