BEWARE OF THE BREAK
November 24th 2007 After the break for the Internationals it's back to bread and butter football again with the Celts taking on Aberdeen at Celtic Park. Strange things can happen to teams during these breaks, teams that have gone on a ten match winning run suddenly get beaten and those who haven't won all season find a big performance from somewhere. If Celtic are capable of seeing off Europe's finest at home then they should be able to take care of Aberdeen and are a best priced 3/10 with Betdirect to do so. The Celts are 5/6 with Bet365 to win by two or more goals and to win 3-1 they are 10/1 with most bookies. Scott McDonald is 9/2 with Coral to score the first goal (only 3/1 with Ladbrokes) and Massimo Donati to score at any time in the match is 11/2 with Skybet (only 2/1 with Coral). It's Scottish Cup day today so I won't be touching any of those games but in Division One I'm going for Hamilton to win at Dundee, a bit of a risk but that's reflected in the odds, 9/5 with Bet365. In England Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd could all win but are not value for money. It's around 11/10 the treble with Paddy Power though for anyone who likes those bets. Manchester City may be the best value at 8/13 at home to Reading with Paddy Power. Once again I will be backing Leeds who have been great this season and they are 4/6 with Bet365 and Blue Square to win at Cheltenham tomorrow. Note, prices often change before kick-off |
