CELTS CAN OVERCOME DEFENSIVE PROBLEMS

December 1st 2007

Celtic have severe defensive problems for their match at Tynecastle today but the makeshift defence survived Wednesday's match against Shakhtar Donetsk after Kennedy and Naylor had gone off.

Aiden McGeady was outstanding in the recent CIS Cup tie defeat against Hearts and it was his team mates who let him down that night.

If McGeady can reproduce that form then I think McDonald & Co will deliver the goods this time and Celtic will win.

As we all know, if they are going to win they will almost certainly have to score more than once since conceding goals in away SPL games has become a bad habit.

Celts to win the match is 4/5 with Paddy Power (11/10 with Betfair but commission needs paying) and to win 2-1 is 15/2 with Sportingbet.

Scott McDonald is 5/1 with Betdirect to score the first goal.

Last weekend wasn't great on the moneymaking front with two losers from three selections but it evens itself out over time.

This week:  Chelsea to beat West Ham (1/3 with Ladbrokes), Liverpool to beat Bolton (1/3 with Stan James), Hamilton to win at Stirling Albion (5/6 with Betdirect) and East Fife to win at home to Montrose (4/6 with Betfred)
