CELTS FACE SEVEN POINT DEFICIT

December 5th 2008

Celtic could be trailing Rangers by seven points by the time they play next in the SPL as the Gers play Dundee Utd today, St Mirren on Tuesday and Gretna on January 16th before the Celts take on Kilmarnock on January 19th.

Hopefully this won't be the case but it's hard to see anything other than three wins for the Ibrox men.

Celtic's next game will be against Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park next Saturday.

This week's betting opportunities are almost non existent as the teams who have been earning me money earlier in the season are now blowing a bit hot and cold.

Leeds cannot be relied upon especially at home and Hamilton have been inconsistent recently.

Raith and Ross County play each other today while East Fife are not good value to win at Elgin.

In England the FA Cup is on and that should be avoided but if you are looking just to have a bit of interest in a televised match then Aston Villa look value at 7/2 to beat a Man Utd team whose priority will be the Premiership title.

Teams who are on form at the moment are Dunfermline who are unbeaten in six games with the last four being wins, they are 5/2 to win at Dundee and Brechin City who are unbeaten in eight and also with four wins in their last four games, 4/5 to win at Berwick.
