THREE BUT NOT EASY

January 11th 2008

The Celts are in Scottish Cup action this weekend at home to Stirling Albion, the First Division's bottom club.

I would expect Celtic to win this one but maybe not as easily as the odds of 1/16 would suggest.

It will be a backs to the wall job for Albion so I can see Celtic maybe going in 1-0 up at half-time then adding a couple more late in the game.

Ladbrokes are trying to get punters in the door by offering 9/1 for a 3-0 Celtic win while other bookies go as low as 4/1 but anyone who fancies this price should get on quick as I expect it to be cut.

Ladbrokes have a habit of pulling these stunts, quite often offering better odds than anyone else for a Chelsea win on a Saturday then advertising the fact on Sky Sports News and cutting the price not long afterwards.

Cup matches are no use for making money but for anyone who can't hold onto their cash, Inverness are value at 3/1 to beat Hibs but the Hibees do have a new manager which always seems to bring a better performance out of players.

In England Chelsea at home are a decent price at 8/11 to beat Tottenham (Paddy Power).

Leeds have been a bit off form recently but after a 3-0 win last week I think they are worth a go at 1/1 with Skybet as others go as low as 8/11.
