IT'S FANTASY FOOTBALL AS
SUPER CELTS ARE SIMPLY UNSTOPPABLE
Falkirk 0 Celtic 1 January 27th 2008 Celtic produced some of their best football this century to defeat Falkirk and move to within four points of SPL leaders Rangers. Right from the first whistle the Bhoys were on the front foot and the home side's defence had to endure wave upon wave of Celtic attack. The football was simply scintillating and Celtic looked like scoring every time they went forward. It was no surprise when the deadlock was broken just before half-time, Scott McDonald heading home a Nakamura cross. The second half was more of the same with Celtic pounding the Falkirk goal with shots from all angles. It's hard to believe that there was only one goal in this game but 1-0 was how it ended. The Barcelona scout in the stand was visibly shaken at the sheer quality of Celtic's play and the Spanish giants will have their work cut out trying to figure out how to stop the Bhoys in their forthcoming Champions League ties. That of course was complete fantasy and the reality is it was one of the worst games I've ever seen. Three points in the bag just the same though.
