BURNLEY TO REJECT CELTS'
LATEST LAFFERTY BID
January 29th 2008 Burnley will reject Celtic's latest offer of cash plus a player for striker Kyle Lafferty according to Sky Sports News. The Northern Ireland striker has been a long term target of Celtic manager Gordon Strachan and looked to have had a good chance of joining the Bhoys before the January transfer window shut. The Lancashire club has already rejected a £3m bid from Fulham and it had been reported that Celtic had offered £2.5m plus striker Derek Riordan to try to tempt Burnley to strike a deal. Riordan's agent claims Derek is going nowhere but in any case Burnley are apparently set to reject the offer. |
