SKIPPY CAN MAKE IT TEN
February 1st 2008 After travelling all the way to Motherwell on Wednesday night and getting as far as the turnstiles before finding out the bad news, I will be giving the Kilmarnock game a miss tomorrow. It will be the telly for me so if the game is off at least I won't be £60 out of pocket! It's unlikely to be off however as the referee is Iain Brines who I'm told was the man who said at 3pm on Wednesday that Fir Park would be playable! Celtic are far too short a price at 2/5 for a cup tie away from home against another SPL team so I won't be risking cash on that. The Celts are 8/1 with Betdirect to win 2-1 and 6/1 with Ladbrokes for 2-0. Scott McDonald has been a first scorer on NINE occasions this season and is 4/1 with Ladbrokes to make it ten. It was another great week last week on the betting front with five out of five again and a 23/1 accumulator for any of you who do those bets. With the lack of league games in Scotland this weekend I will be looking to England for winners. Winning away from home in the Premiership is always difficult but less so for the league's top three of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. Manchester City are very difficult to beat and are unbeaten at home in the league but Arsenal are well capable of winning at any ground in Europe so will be confident they can do so at the City of Manchester Stadium. The Gunners are 5/6 with Coral. Manchester United are going well and are 10/11 with Paddy Power to win at Tottenham. Spurs have improved since the start of the season but I would still fancy United to win that one. Chelsea who are 8/11 with Betdirect have a better away record than both Arsenal and Man Utd and I fancy them to win at Portsmouth. All three are tough games but that is reflected in the odds. The odds may drift and 1/1 or better may become available. |
