ARE GERS FANS REALLY
CACKING THEIR PANTS?
February 17th 2008
They are thinking it will only be a matter of time before their team is overtaken by the on-form Celts and after yesterday's impressive display against Hearts I think they may be correct. Aiden McGeady was again instrumental in Celtic's victory but everyone played their part. The Celts are lurking only one point off the pace now although they have played a game more and are ready to take over their rightful place at the top in the event of any slip-ups. Apparently the Gers fans are concerned about their team's away form having struggled at Aberdeen, Hibs, Gretna, Inverness and Hibs again in the cup and I'm told that if Rangers don't score early today at Kilmarnock the fans will start to get edgy and it will transmit to the players on the park. Surely they won't slip up at lowly Kilmarnock, a team Celtic wiped the floor with recently and who are not safe from relegation by any means. They certainly can't afford a slip-up away from home as it will pile the pressure on for their next away SPL game at Tynecastle in ten days time.
