CELTS ON THEIR WAY OUT

March 1st 2008

Celtic have drifted out to 4/5 with some bookies for today's game with Hibernian after originally being marked up at 8/13.

Bet365 and VC Bet are the ones offering 4/5 and even though Celtic have not been at their best in the past two games that seems decent value considering they were 2/5 away to St Mirren last week.

Coral go 33/1 for a 3-2 Celtic win and 7/1 for 2-1 while Paddy Power offers 8/1 for 2-0 and 13/2 for 1-0.

Scott McDonald is a 9/2 chance for first scorer with most bookies and Georgios Samaras is a generous 13/2 with Bet365 while others only go 5/1.

Celtic are famous for coming from behind to win and Paddy Power offers 8/1 for this.

Last week was another good week with five from six.  There is usually one that lets you down if you do an accumulator that's why singles is the only way to make a long term profit.

This week there are a few candidates, maybe too many but here they are anyway:

Brechin City (5/6 Betdirect) at home to Alloa, Ross County (1/1 Coral) away to Peterhead, Celtic (4/5 Bet365) away to Hibs and Ayr Utd (10/11 Coral) away to Berwick.

There are several others who are decent odds but slightly more risky for those of you who like to mix them all up in trebles and accumulators etc; Dunfermline at home to Livingston (1/1 Bet365), St Johnstone at Dundee (12/5 Ladbrokes), Queen of the South at home to Hamilton (13/8 Ladbrokes), Airdrie at Queens Park (1/1 Betdirect), East Fife at Stranraer (1/1 Bet365).

Many of the prices will change before kick off.

Bets so far.

I am heading for Easter Road very shortly without a ticket so anyone with any spares please hold them up high :-)
