SAMMY MUST START
24th March 2008 Until the introduction of Georgios Samaras in the second half of yesterday's 3-0 win over Gretna Celtic were really lacking in ideas but the big Greek striker made such a difference to the way the whole team played that he surely must start at Ibrox. It was a hard fought victory over Gretna and more than a few Celtic players under performed including Aiden McGeady who struggled to beat a man or pick a pass until the introduction of Samaras, hopefully Aiden will have saved his best for next week. One of the exceptions was Nakamura who's passing and off the ball movement was superb especially after moving to the middle of the park. There are many TV viewers who only see what Naka does when he's on the ball and have the audacity to criticise the player without seeing the bigger picture, he is simply a class act. He was coming as deep as his own penalty area to take the ball from McManus and Caldwell to start things off, if only his team-mates had been on the same wavelength it might have been far more than the 3-0 scoreline. The Celts will be up against a similar defensive set-up next weekend over at the Lodge so Naka, Samaras and McGeady will need to be on form if the Bhoys are to go top of the table.
