WALTER'S WALL
March 28th 2008 Celtic will have their work cut out to carve out a win at Lodge 1690 this weekend especially as Rangers will be playing the 5-5-0 'Berlin Wall' formation that they usually do when faced with SPL or European opposition. For Celtic, the league cannot be won at Ibrox but it would almost certainly be lost with a defeat and because of that I think Gordon Strachan would settle for a draw. Walter Smith would certainly be delighted with a draw and the way I see it a 0-0 draw is on the cards (cue a 5-4 thriller). Celtic are the outsiders at 9/4 with VC Bet to win the match (12/5 is currently available on Betfair but that changes by the minute). A 0-0 draw is 10/1 with Sportingbet who also offer 17/2 for a 1-0 win for the Celts. A 2-1 win for the Bhoys is on offer at 11/1 with Extrabet and Expekt go 17/1 for 2-0. Bet365 are offering various bet such as Celts to keep a clean sheet 12/5, to win without losing a goal 4/1, to win from behind 12/1, Skippy to score a hat-trick 20/1. Rangers to miss a penalty 18/1 (bear in mind they will have to come out their own half to get a penalty - then again I think Stuart Dougal is refereeing so maybe not). To score first it's 9/1 Samaras (Skybet), 7/1 McDonald (Ladbrokes), 8/1 Vennegoor of Hesselink (Extrabet), 16/1 Nakamura (Bet365), 16/1 McGeady (Extrabet), 80/1 Hinkel (Extrabet) and 20/1 Scott Brown (Ladbrokes). Elsewhere I think Queen of the South will beat Morton 10/11 (Betfair), Manchester United will beat Aston Villa 1/3 (Boylesports), Chelsea will beat Middlesbrough 1/3 (VC Bet) and Carlisle can win at Gillingham 11/9 (Betfair).
