ALCOHOL FREE
April 9th 2008 Celtic's shirt sponsor Carling is to remove their logo from children's Celtic shirts in a bid to promote responsible drinking. An agreed ban on drinks advertising on child-size replica shirts is due to take place in two years time but this will now be introduced on Celtic (and Rangers) children's kit from next season. Kid's replica tops have been available without branding but from next season this will become standard. A spokesman for alcohol concern group Alcohol Focus Scotland said he supported the move but called for a complete ban on alcohol advertising on all football shirts.
