VELICKA IS A WANTED MAN
June 7th 2008 Former Hearts striker Andrius Velicka is wanted by Rangers manager Walter Smith. The Lithuanian was recently transferred to Viking Stavanger for a fee of £1million and it has been reported that Rangers are prepared to offer that same amount to bring him back to Scotland. I can't see the Norwegian club letting him go for the same fee as they recently paid for him unless he has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave. I have always thought Velicka was a decent player and he always seemed to do well against Celtic so hopefully that will change if he signs for the huns. Celtic have been linked with every man and his dog as summer transfer window madness sets in once again. There are one or two of the usual suspects who haven't been mentioned yet - Rivaldo and Larsson but all the others have been - Maloney, Kadlec, Petrov, McFadden. Neil Lennon has been quoted as saying that if Artur Boruc performs well at Euro 2008 then he might be on his way out so lets hope Artur makes a few blunders.
