CELTIC SUPPORTERS TO BE ADVISED ON HOW TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES

November 13th 2008

A number of people were ejected from Celtic Park last night and Celtic FC has issued a statement with regard to this.

The statement reads;

In response to inquiries received by the Club today, Celtic Football Club can confirm that a number of people were ejected from the stadium during last night's match at Celtic Park.

This was mainly due to the fact that these supporters were in the wrong areas of the stadium and followed numerous complaints from other season ticket holders close by.

No supporters have been banned. However, each individual will be written to with regards to this issue and be given advice on how to conduct themselves within the stadium in the future.

These ejections were completely unrelated to last Saturday's match.

I was at the game last night in the upper tier and saw a few guys getting ushered to the exit after being caught smoking, I wasn't aware of any others being removed but obviously there must have been.

I did notice however that area 111 was very well filled compared to other areas and that area 445 was far more densely populated in the second half than it was in the first, not too hard to spot that in a crowd of about 45,000 (yes there is a huge difference between the actual attendance and the offeeshel attendance).

I also witnessed a man arguing with two stewards in the upper tier prior to kick off, he had a paper ticket in his hand and was claiming his son was in the lower tier and that he simply had to get down there. He was becoming quite abusive, maybe he will get one of those letters too.

It is important that people sit in the correct seat just in case he or she lets off a smelly fart that may cause offence to others nearby. The farter can then be identified easily and be given charcoal tablets before the next home match.

Bring back terracing.
