MALONEY 8/1 TO MAKE IT
FIVE
December 7th 2008 Celtic are now on offer at around 2/5 to win the SPL, a bit of a difference from being 6/4 after the early home defeat to Rangers. The Bhoys have had twelve straight SPL victories since then and for today's visit to Easter Road they are rated a 4/7chance to make it thirteen. The Hibees have only won one of their last six home games but will most likely raise their game in front of a full house today just as most other SPL clubs do when they take on Celtic (or that other lot). Although the Celts have been winning, these last few games have been a bit of a struggle and I believe it's the lack of a fully fit Georgios Samaras that is the problem. Looking at the first scorer stats Shaun Maloney has managed to bag the first goal on four occasions while McManus, Hartley, Robson and McDonald have all managed it twice. First scorer odds for those players today are Maloney 8/1, McManus 25/1, Hartley 20/1, Robson 18/1 and McDonald 9/2. Samaras is 5/1, Sheridan 7/1, Nakamura 12/1 and Scott Brown 16/1. |
