OH NO, IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN

December 21st 2008

December 2006 saw the Bhoys drop six points followed by nine points lost in the same month of 2007 and so far this December they have already dropped five.

I don't know the reason for this annual form dip, Gordon Strachan, Catholic schools, Evander Sno or the West of Scotland possibly but whatever it is it must stop now before it costs us dearly.

A win today would keep Celtic four points ahead going into the game at Ibrox but the points are not just coming on a plate as we have seen against the likes of Hamilton and Inverness, they must be won with hard work.

Last week's performance against Hearts was a shocker and if a huge improvement is not seen today then I can see more points being dropped.

The Celts are 4/9 to win the match and 7/1 to win 2-1.

Scott McDonald is 9/2 to score the first goal, Samaras 5/1, Sheridan 6/1, Nakamura 9/1 and worth a mention is Gary Caldwell who may play in midfield and is rated at 40/1. Glenn Loovens has scored a few goals and is best priced at 33/1.

Ladbrokes offer 6/1 Nakamura to score a goal from outside the box and 11/4 from inside the box.

I think it may be a struggle with JVoH, Maloney, Robson and McGeady not playing and Skippy and Samaras not exactly red hot so would take a 1-0 win right now.
