SAME AGAIN WON'T BE GOOD ENOUGH

January 3rd 2009

Celtic have the chance to stretch their SPL lead to ten points with a victory over Dundee United today as Rangers don't play until tomorrow but there is no way the Tangerines will be gifting the Celts the three points.

After a start which saw Craig Levein's men pick up only two points from their first five SPL games they have now lost only one of their last fifteen league matches and have reached the League Cup semi-final where they will take on Celtic.

I expect this game today to be a tougher one than Rangers gave us so the Celts will have to go up a gear because the same level of performance as last week will not be good enough today to take all three points.

United have already drawn against Celtic at Tannadice and I fear that if they score first today the Bhoys will struggle to win the game.

As far as I'm aware only Shaun Maloney is unavailable through injury but McGeady, Robson or Mizuno will take his place.

The Celts are 2/5 to win the match while Dundee United are 17/2.

To score first it's 4/1 McDonald, 9/2 Samaras, 9/2 Vennegoor of Hesselink, 13/2 Sheridan, 7/1 Hutchinson, 9/1 Nakamura, 9/1 McGeady, 11/1 Robson, 12/1 Mizuno, 14/1 Brown, 16/1 Hartley, 40/1 Caldwell.

It's 7/1 for 1-0, 11/2 for 2-0, 8/1 for 2-1, 17/2 for 3-0, 11/1 for 3-1 and 33/1 for 3-2.

Paddy Power offers 8/1 for Celtic to come from behind and win and 9/1 to come from behind and draw.
