BACKING, NOT BARRACKING
IS WHAT'S NEEDED
January 24th 2009 Aberdeen may be on a good run but really they should have been well beaten by Celtic and when they take on Rangers today in the early kick-off at Pittodrie I fully expect the Dons to lose. That result would mean Celtic kick-off at 3pm against Hibs in second place in the SPL, a position which would have been unthinkable after our win at Ibrox when many people thought the title was in the bag. A win today for the Ibrox men would give them a huge boost in confidence and ensure that a large section of the Celtic Park crowd today will be howling for the manager's head if the Bhoys fail to collect all three points. Actually, the howling will start if we are not ahead after sixty minutes. Many supporters go along to the game, blether for forty-five minutes about what they were up to last night or where they are going tonight or for their summer holidays or how much the wallpaper set them back in B&Q then decide to take an interest in the second half if we are not 2-0 up. Getting on the backs of the Celtic players certainly doesn't help in any way so it's best avoided. After the 2-2 draw at home with Dundee United a raging Tim on his way down the stairs was screaming "f****** sh*** Celtic, get to f*** Strachan"!!! I can see Celtic having to score at least two and maybe three goals to win as Hibs will be no pushovers, they are liable to score at least once. Celtic to win 2-1 is 8/1 and 3-2 is 33/1. McDonald and Samaras are both 4/1 to score first with JVoH at 5/1 and McGeady 10/1.
