NAKA AND BROON THE BEST
VALUE
February 15th 2009, Celtic v Rangers In a game where both managers would happily accept a point each it's always a bit tricky to back a winner and if today's game is still level at seventy minutes the last twenty will probably be played out like a World Cup Finals group match between Germany and Austria. I don't think risks will be taken at either end and I wouldn't be surprised to see the game end 0-0. If there is to be a goal it could come from a free kick or corner so if you fancy some of that then Naka is a whopping 14/1 with Coral to score the first goal with other bookies listing him at only 10/1. Stephen McManus and JVofH are dangerous at corner kicks and are rated at 33/1 and 7/1 respectively. Skippy can often get on the end of a knockdown and is on offer generally at 6/1. Scott Brown doesn't score too often but is rated a 20/1 chance with Coral while rivals Ladbrokes go only 12/1. Aiden McGeady is a 14/1 chance and Samaras 7/1. The Celts are 11/8 to win the match and it's 9/4 the draw. A 0-0 draw is 8/1 but if you fancy that score you're better doing a 'no goalscorer' bet in the first scorer section and you'll get 9/1 for that. 1-1 is on offer at 6/1 with 2-2 at 18/1. Celtic to win 1-0 is 7/1, 2-0 is 10/1, 2-1 is 9/1 and 6-2 is 400/1. Samaras, McDonald and Hesselink are all rated at 80/1 each with Paddy Power to score a hat-trick. I'd settle for a 1-0 win courtesy of an O.G. from any of the uglies.
