CELTS OFF TO GERMANY,
ISRAEL AND AUSTRIA
August 28th 2009 Celtic will face Hamburg, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Rapid Vienna in the Europa League groups. The Celts avoided big guns like Roma, Valencia, Ajax and Villarreal in pot one and could have been paired with much stiffer opponents in pot three and four. Meanwhile Arsenal striker Eduardo has been charged by UEFA after his dive against Celtic on Wednesday night. Former and current Rankers strikers Peter Lovelypants and Coil Laugherty had watched the match on television and were astonished at UEFA's decision. Lovelypants said "Eduardo was clearly tripped" while Laugherty commented "It is disgraceful that a player has been charged for that, it was a blatant penalty." |
